AI show thrills Bremen!
In front of around 4,000 guests, the ÖVB Arena in Bremen is transformed into a futuristic stage full of energy and innovation. Together with JOKE Event AG, we are creating a 30 minutes show for the evening event of the DSAG Annual Congress in September 2025.
A spectacular opening
Right from the start, it is clear that this will be no ordinary performance: Ruby, our protagonist and embodiment of AI, floats across the hall on a 2D performer flight system, right above the heads of the guests, to the stage.
A 17-meter-wide LED wall is designed as an oversized eye. An animated AI symbol forms the iris of the eye, addressing the audience directly: “I am Ruby, your artificial intelligence. I was developed to help you with the show tonight. To do this, we should get to know each other, interact with each other, and learn from each other.” The digitally generated voice is accompanied by a specially produced sound design that sets the tone for the entire show. The sounds range from atmospheric, emotional tones to powerful electronic sequences.
A symbiosis of artistry, dance, sound, and motion design
The tense atmosphere gives rise to an unusual balloon juggling act. Balloons filled with helium want to rise upwards—but the performers pull them down with barely visible strings in perfect timing to the music. A poetic composition of movement that deliberately plays with the idea of lightness. A detached form of juggling that doesn’t work against gravity.
This is followed by a world-class aerial acrobatic performance at breathtaking heights. Four artists present the beauty of balance on a spherical aerial object – the Flying Globe. Flexibility and strength are presented as teamwork in harmonious connection.
Controlled by AI, dancers then move like a living swarm. Individual performers connect to form a dynamic community, with every movement appearing organic, as if following an invisible impulse.
The audience becomes part of the show
When the fictional AI appears to take complete control, it addresses the audience directly. It engages the guests in an animated way and performs a live scan that displays the number of women and men in the audience on a diagram.
The interactive dimension is continued by the well-known beatboxer ROBEAT who directly encourages the audience to participate. His live performance transforms the arena into a pulsating sound space. The glowing LED bracelets distributed beforehand respond to his impulses and create a collective sense of community.
Maximum energy
The AI introduces the finale with an announcement: “Now everyone stand up and let’s release maximum energy.” All the artists now perform together on stage – an energetic, rousing finale. Applause fills the arena, the lights pulsate, and for a moment it seems as if humans and technology are directly connected.
